I like to explore new places, new stories, new cultures. Meeting people, learning about history and exploring the cuisine is a big part about my explorations. I am a curious person and am interested in a wide variety of subjects. I like to document what I see as I go through life, both with photographs and words. This website is a work in progress, of what I am seeing and learning.
My Story
I grew up in India, and arrived at the US for graduate studies. After six years in the north east of the United States, my wife and I arrived in Austin TX, each armed with a PhD and a job. Since then we have lived in Austin, raised a family and now retired. Our family life and jobs have kept us very busy for the last few decades. During this time I would entertain my friends with short diaries of what I was seeing during a vacation or even a short business trip. Over time this hobby grew to include photographs, food tips and even random thoughts.
Now retired, I am slowly putting together all my writings in this website.
